Driving Lessons Halifax

Technology that could soon be used in the U.K
To combat the States’ chronic problem of motorist mobile usage while driving, authorities are considering implementing a new technology that can be used whenever a road incident is believed to have been caused by phone use.
Deployed at the roadside, the textalyser will examine if and when a mobile was used. Critically, the technology can be implemented without requiring the driver to unlock their phone or the need to examine conversations, photos and other potential privacy issue-bating content stored on the device. If the driver refuses or fails to hand over their phone, officers would then be able to revoke the driver’s licence there and then and if desired, obtain a warrant forcing the motorist to hand over their mobile later.
The tech can’t come soon enough according to legislators – figures show that more teenagers are killed at the wheel each year by texting than drink-driving in the US. And it’s a similar picture in the UK – 67 people have been killed on our roads over the last three years because motorists were using their phones at the time and according to the Department for Transport, mobile use at the wheel has a higher death rate than in-case causes such as sat-nav use, children and people.
